The Truck

Years ago, Haiti Ap Grandi bought and equipped a heavy-duty, four-wheel drive, extended cab truck for Etienne’s work, replacing a pickup that was smaller, old, and falling apart. This truck is essential to Etienne’s work. It carries people, animals, tools, seed, building materials, injured people going to the hospital, supplies to address cholera outbreaks, … more than we can list. We’ve covered parts and repairs as needed over the years, but age and wear are building up.
The Truck required $4500 worth of work last month, much higher than expected because the front differential failed, requiring replacement of it and other parts. Next, the worn-out tires need to be replaced. All of this is an extremely high-leverage investment in raising agricultural productivity in southwest Haiti to improve the health and financial well-being of the people who live there. We are so grateful for all of the Haiti supporters who make this work possible.
