April 2025: Haiti Club Dinner and a New Used Truck
Haiti Club Dine & Zoom – 4/14/2025
Monday 4/14/24 @ 6:00pm, Szechuan Kitchen
Zoom session follows at 7pm – https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81261552842
We have lots of information to share at our Haiti Club get-together and hope you can be there for dinner and fellowship, and to hear the latest about Etiennne, our Sister Church, Hope for Kidz, Kids 4 Kidz, and RMI.
We’ll show pictures of Etienne, agronomy agents, goats, and an important addition to his transport capacity (see below for truck photos and story), and information about the upcoming renewals/subscription period for Hope for Kidz scholarship program that provides not only education, but a hot, nourishing lunch, school uniforms and supplies, and health insurance. We’ll also have an update on the Kids for Kidz goat program that Passion For Haiti (Etienne’s non-profit organization), has been working on this spring as weather and transportation challenges have allowed.
Speaking of transportation challenges, the truck we bought for Etienne’s work many years ago recently had a serious breakdown. Your donations to Haiti Ap Grandi have kept it on the road all these years, providing transport for agents and interns, goats and other animals, and all kinds of supplies. Again, thanks to you, we were able to send funds to get that truck repaired. We also keep a large dirt bike used by Etienne and his team running and repaired as needed.
A Great Used Truck Joins the Passion for Haiti Fleet
Thanks to special donations from some wonderful Haiti Ap Grandi supporters, plus funds that Etienne raised on his own, he was able to purchase a very nice additional vehicle for his ministry of agricultural education programs and agronomy work.
Etienne, agents, and goats show off the “new” 2019 Toyota Hilux SRV on the right. It has a 4-cylinder diesel, only 8K miles, and is in very good to excellent condition, having been maintained by RMI’s service department.
Having this additional, newer truck nearly doubles the ability to deliver people, animals, and supplies to where they need to be, increasing the life-changing services that Etienne and Passion for Haiti can provide to the people we serve through their efforts.
