Christmas Goats and Seeds
We are in the season when our thoughts turn to our loved ones near and far, close family and distant acquaintances, those who have taken care us of, and those to whom we provide care. Many of you who are reading this post have loved ones in Haiti, and may have even spent time with them in the churches and towns around Les Anglais. Over the years, we have identified some of their greatest needs and supplied resources to address them. Examples include installing wells for drinking water, a mule for Etienne’s transportation, labor to roof a school and wire a church, school supplies for children, materials to rebuild homes after hurricanes and earthquakes, and many more. Lives have been saved, illnesses prevented, children fed and educated, and we ourselves have been enriched by these relationships.
Once again, our Haitian brothers and sisters have been knocked down by a hurricane that destroyed and washed away entire fields of crops and livestock they depend on for family sustenance and income. Through Etienne’s Passion for Haiti organization, we are working to replace as much of their their livestock and crops as we possibly can. We need your help to purchase high-quality seeds and goats.
